The project was designed to encourage young people from rural areas and youth civil society organisations from the Eastern and Southeastern planning regions to actively participate in democratic processes, contribute to EU integration reforms, strengthen civic participation and prepare for the challenges and opportunities that EU membership brings.

General Objective
To strengthen the voice of civil society and its role as a partner in Macedonia’s EU integration reforms through the effective involvement of young people from rural areas and their organisations.
Specific Objectives
• To improve the capacities of youth CSOs and young people from rural areas to participate in the creation and implementation of public policies through structured dialogue with decision-makers.
• To strengthen the capacities of rural youth for greater competitiveness in the labour market.
• To increase young people’s awareness and involvement in the EU integration process.
Results
• Young people from rural areas gained increased knowledge of issues related to EU integration.
• Awareness was raised among rural youth about career development opportunities.
• The capacities of youth CSO representatives for youth activism were strengthened.
• A regional youth platform was created.
• The platform opened new opportunities for effective policy dialogue on sustainable development and EU integration.
