General Objective
The general objective of the project is to identify, support and launch new businesses in the agri-food sector with innovative potential, which can serve as multipliers of the region’s advantages.
Specific Objectives
• To promote opportunities and career paths in the agri-food sector among young entrepreneurs
• To identify innovative business ideas that can make use of the region’s potential
• To train highly qualified professionals in specific agri-food areas
• To support young entrepreneurs in overcoming barriers when starting a business
• To provide training in strategic, financial, marketing and management skills
• To launch 10 new businesses in the sector
Main Activities and Results
Information sessions about the project and the call for participation
Four information sessions were organised in Gevgelija, Valandovo, Bogdanci and Strumica to present the project objectives and the call for innovative business ideas.
Training on EU regulations for food health and safety
A three-day training was held from 3 to 5 July 2023, covering EU regulations, HACCP, ISO 22000 and the implementation of food safety management systems.
As part of the training, participants visited the Mabi Trade canning factory in Strumica to see the practical application of the HACCP system.
Training in strategic and financial management, marketing and promotion, resource and inventory management, monitoring and analysis
Two-day trainings were organised in Dojran from 12 to 14 October and from 19 to 21 October 2023.
The aim was to provide young entrepreneurs with practical skills for starting and developing a business.
