LEADER is a European model for local development based on the “bottom-up” principle. It places the community at the centre of decision-making and the creation of development priorities. As a strong supporter of the LEADER methodology, the Network actively works to strengthen and develop Local Action Groups (LAGs) in the country.
Our support includes:
Establishment and consolidation of LAGs – support in organising partnerships between the public, private and civil society sectors.
Training and capacity building – training in management, planning, leadership, communication and financing.
Development of local strategies (CLLD) – encouraging the participation of local stakeholders in creating strategies for sustainable development.
Networking and exchange of good practices – connecting with national and European LEADER initiatives.
Technical support for implementation – administrative, project-related and coordination support for LAGs.
Through the application of the LEADER approach, self-sustaining local structures are created that develop their own potential and initiatives, strengthening the rural economy and community cohesion.
