Some of the stakeholders from the private sector in the Radovis region and the village of Lubnica in the municipality of Konce discussed with the team that implements USAID’s Community Development Program.

Namely, the representatives of the Rural Development Network of NM and LAG Plackovica, on whose territory these two municipalities are located, had several working meetings with the private sector, including the representatives of the companies “Best Food” and “Mlekara Gjorgievi (Gjorgievi Dairy)” from Radovis.

 

 

The Program aims to promote and support sustainable economic development led by initiatives of local stakeholders in rural areas. That is why some of the topics discussed with local stakeholders included identifying and supporting initiatives to improve living conditions in rural areas within the Program that are initiated and led by the local stakeholders and locals living in the area.

 

 

One such initiative is recognized in the village of Lubnica in Konce. It envisages urban landscaping of the central area in the village. Additionally, this initiative is supported by all stakeholders, including the Municipality of Konce, the owners of small businesses in the municipality, the Public Utility Company for Communal Services “Lakavica” – Konce, and the residents themselves.

USAID’s Community Development Program is implemented by the Rural Development Network of NM in collaboration with the Local Action Groups Plackovica, Males-Pijanec, Belasica-Ograzden, Bojmija, and Aber-2015.
