Its aim is to create an enabling environment for civil society and encourage the sustainable development of rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Funded by:<\/strong> European Union<br><strong>Budget line:<\/strong> BGUE-B2015-22.020401<br><strong>Implementation period:<\/strong> 19\/12\/2015 \u2013 30\/09\/2019<br><strong>Total action budget:<\/strong> EUR 1,168,634.00<br><strong>Donor contribution:<\/strong> EUR 1,051,674.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Main Objective<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective of the project was to stimulate an enabling legal and financial environment for civil society, strengthen civil society organisations as effective and accountable actors, and improve their capacity for dialogue with government institutions in order to influence policy-making for the sustainable development of rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Expected Results<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Promotion of the concepts of sustainable socio-economic rural development, social inclusion and active participation of civil society organisations in policy development and implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Improved capacities of civil society organisations for advocacy, networking and cooperation with public institutions, increasing their participation in decision-making processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Strengthened management and organisational capacities of civil society organisations and their networks, including the development of long-term strategic plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Improved involvement of civil society organisations and citizens in local governance, as well as promotion of cross-sector partnerships in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Development of the Balkan Rural Development Network as a functional regional cooperation platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Expanded networking, transnational cooperation, knowledge exchange and sharing of good practices among civil society organisations and their networks in the seven partner countries and with countries from the European Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project covers the Balkan countries through active cooperation between the National Rural Development Networks and the Balkan Rural Development Network (BRDN).
