Rural Development Network of the Republic of Macedonia participated at the 11th biannual Swedish Rural Parliament, from 06-09th of May in the city of Sunne. This event was organized by Swedish Rural Network “Hela Swerige ska leva” or “All Sweden Shall live”. The Swedish Rural Network has 4700 LAG’s and 40 NGO’s from rural areas of Sweden as their members.
Special attention on this event was given to the importance of young and old living and working together in rural areas “Where generations meet – there’s progress”.
Rural Development Network of The Republic of Macedonia was part of the international delegation from 22 European counties: Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Belarus, Spain, Greece, Macedonia, Albania, Slovenia, Norway… During the event the representatives of RDN of RM were able to establish linkages, share experiences, and discussed for different opportunities for eventual cooperation with many similar networks in EU in the area of rural development.
