On April 3rd, in Skopje region, Green Entrepreneurship Caravan was organized by the regional project NAGE – Networking and Advocacy for Green Economy, financed by EU. Departing at 10 a.m. in front of the “Aleksandar Palace” hotel, the Caravan, which was attended by approximately 25 stakeholders, made a couple of stops in the Skopje surrounding, to introduce the participants with some examples of green entrepreneurship. First stop was the village of Trubarevo, where the Caravan visited the company “EE-recycling” which works on recycling of electronic waste and the company “Galenius Farm”, producer of organic cosmetics. During the second stop in the neighborhood of Vizbegovo, the Caravan visited “Sunilens” a company which deals with collection, storage and treatment of waste edible oils and “Digital Center” graphic design and printing company.

This is the first of the series of three green entrepreneurship caravans which will be implemented once per year, in all seven project-represented countries: Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of this activity is to familiarize the stakeholders with the concept on green economy and entrepreneurship by taking them on field and showing practical examples of businesses that are reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities. An expert on green economy joined the Caravan to explain the green economy concept and its advantages. Also, the project activities were presented to the participants, as well as the opportunities for them to engage and take active participation in the project.
