The Rural Development Network of N. Macedonia is pleased to announce the completion of evaluation and grant awarding process for the sub-granting program on green entrepreneurship of EU-funded project “Networking and Advocacy for the Green Economy” (NAGE).
The call for support of grassroots CSOs in implementing small green entrepreneurship project initiatives was part of the European Union funded project “NAGE – Networking and Advocacy for a Green Economy” implemented by 7 partner organizations from the Balkans: Rural Development Network of N. Macedonia (Lead Partner), Croatian Rural Development Network, Rural Development Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Network of Rural Development Organizations of Kosovo, Rural Development Network of Montenegro , Rural Development Network of Serbia and Albanian Rural Development Network.
Seventeen local CSOs have answered the Call for proposals and have submitted their applications by the stated deadline. They presented interesting project proposals on topics related to sustainable development, environmental protection and climate change, agricultural and rural development, socio-economic development, education, policies and social services, work and policies for youth, women’s economic empowerment, volunteering, etc.
At the end of the process, 6 local organizations were awarded small grants for the implementation of their initiatives aimed at starting and piloting green entrepreneurship interventions. The financial support will contribute to strengthening local CSOs through capacity building and implementation of their initiatives and raising awareness of the importance of the green economy and green entrepreneurship.
