The Rural Development Network of the Republic of Macedonia realized series of activities linked to the promotion of EU LEADER Approach in 4 municipalities of the South-East Planning region: Strumica, Vasilevo, Bosilevo and Novo Selo, within the USAID Adaptation to Climate Change in Agriculture Project. The implemented activities aimed to develop the capacities of all stakeholders in these rural areas in order to improve their knowledge and capability for participative planning in making important decisions for the community.
After developing a strategic document for local development of these 4 municipalities, all stakeholders were invited on March 23rd in Strumica to familiarize in more detail with the criteria and conditions for piloting the project proposals, and receive guidance in creating project ideas as potential proposals. The event gathered 15 representatives of CSOs, business sector and the local self-government.
