USAID Adaptation to Climate Change in Agriculture project’s Deputy Chief of Party, Vesela Lambevska Domazetova, together with a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Lidija Chadikovska, participated in the International Visitor Leadership Project entitled “Climate Change Resiliency” which was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) and administrated by World Learning.

Within the program held in the period from December 1st until December 11th, a variety of appointments with individuals and representatives of U.S. organizations, were realized, aiming to introduce the representatives of NGOs, the national government and municipal officials from Macedonia, to new technologies and innovative approaches to climate change in areas such as agriculture, forestry, water management and energy efficiency.

The Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project: explore cooperation between federal, state and local levels of government and their roles in climate change; examine public-private partnerships that address climate change; analyze new technologies and strategies on the subject of climate change and the environment.
