After the analysis of the needs of the Local Action Groups for training and mentoring to build their capacities, one of the chosen priorities was training for mobilization of funding.

For this purpose, on July 15, 2022, such training was organized in Kocani, in which about 20 representatives from all Local Action Groups – partners of USAID’s Community Development Program, including LAG Plachkovica, LAG Aber-2015, LAG Malesh-Pijanec, LAG Bojmia, and LAG Belasica-Ograzden participated.

During the training, special focus was placed on the concept of fund mobilization versus resource mobilization, as well as, the components and characteristics of fund mobilization, the preparation of a strategy for fund mobilization, and the possibilities of accessing funding from various donors. Additionally, other related topics such as networking and collaboration, project cycle management, and project application preparation using modern tools and methods were covered.

After completing the training, the participants highly evaluated it and unequivocally emphasized the need for more similar pieces of training through which they, as representatives of the Local Action Groups, will strengthen their capacities and improve their skills.
