The First National Rural Parliament was organized in the Republic of North Macedonia in the period between 12 and 14 June 2019, following the positive example of the European countries that have been organizing rural parliaments for many years as an efficient process of inclusion and discussion among the rural population and the policy creators for the purpose of improving rural policies and addressing certain challenges related to rural development.
The project ‘National Rural Parliament as a Voice of Rural Citizens’, funded by the European Union, carried out field research in 8 planning regions in Macedonia in August and September, in order to identify the major civil organizations working in the field of rural development.
The project “National Rural Parliament as a voice of rural citizens – NDP”, funded by the European Union, during May / June 2017 will organize 8 one-day meetings for civil society organizations working in the field of rural development, in each of the planning regions of the Republic of Macedonia.

CNVP Foundation in cooperation with the RDN of RM (Rural Development Network of Republic of Macedonia) and the ARD (Action for Rural Development), on April 10th, in the EU Info Centre, have conducted the kick-off meeting of the project “National Rural Parliament as a voice of rural citizens” – NRP.
